2 Drive Safe driver training are able to carry out a range of driver assessments.
We use the New Zealand Institute of Driver Educators Advanced Assessment tool, which NZTA have designed and approved, for the assessment of drivers and riders of all classes of vehicle.
Driving is a two part process; it needs practical skills and a lot of mental agility. Like most things we do, it's easy to slip into bad habits. A driving assessment is a good way to take stock of where we are at and look at ways to increase our skill levels in the following areas:
- 6 crash positions
- Response to Road rules
- Response to other driver
- Scanning and planning skills
- Risk reduction driving
- Economy of driving
- Handling of vehicle and vehicle sympathy
