NZTA Approved Licencing Courses

2 Drive Safe can offer you (and your business) NZTA approved courses. The benefits of these courses are that they are NZTA based, meaning that results go on your Record of Learning and can count towards National Industry recognised Qualifications.

You are not required to hold your learners for 6 months and neither are you required to sit the full practical test! So let's take a look at the courses...

Approved Courses

Class 2/4 Heavy Truck The full course is 2¼ days ( 1¼ days if Fatigue has been previously done for P or CL2; or ½ day if class 2 approved course done in the last 12 months). You must have the relevant Class 2 or 4 Learners licence before the course begins. Includes the unit standard in Fatigue Management, Work Time Rule and Logbooks.	Passenger Endorsement The full course is 2 days! (Just 1 day if Fatigue has been previously done) Includes the unit standards for driver requirements for endorsement P, and for Fatigue Management, Work Time Rule and Logbooks.
Forklift Endorsement (and OSH) The full course is ½ - 2 days depending on training already done. (This is best done in your workplace for maximum benefit for your people). A full Class 1 license is required for the F endorsement.	Refresher Courses We can do a wide range of short refresher courses, including Fatigue Management, work time and logbooks to suit your needs (This requires a minimum of 2 hours). Important: If you are thinking of doing an approved course you need to give yourself enough time to study the training material before the course begins. All Licencing courses have a Closed Book Assessment. This means you cannot refer to any notes or training material during the assessment. The pass mark is 100%. Oral answers can be taken by the assessor if an answer is unclear. If you do not answer a question or give an incorrect answer you may be found not yet competent however you can be re-assessed (if you have to come back you may have an extra charge made).
