This year we had the honour of supporting Lynne, Sarah and Erin in their effort to raise funds for the NZ Cancer Society – Canterbury / West Coast Branch. The Tranz Alpine Scooter Safari is fun filled and challenging charity event which sees riders adventure 250kms coast-to-coast from Christchurch to Hokitika. It took no convincing at all to talk the trio into completing a Scooter Survival Course to boost their skills and confidence before the ride. In fact, they ask us! Here’s their feedback after completing the Safari:

Duncan, Your lesson was invaluable!

On September 10th Sarah, Erin and I completed the 250km journey across the Southern Alps, Christchurch to Hokitika. The weather could not have been more perfect, blue skies and snow covered mountains. Along with 247 other riders, riding to raise funds for the Canterbury/West Coast Branch of the Cancer Society.

Our support crew of Erin’s parents Norma and Ben, Addison, Chris and Tilly were a welcome face at each stop and a great source of encouragment.

Together we raised over $6000, an effort supported by you, Bailies Bar, Peter Timbs Meats, St Albans Pharmacy, Edgeware Superliquor, Lion, Edgeware Supervalue, Curves Gym, Coffee Traders and Home Foods from the Gourmet Hub, and Pat Robson (ex Birdlands).

Lynne, Sarah and Erin

Ps. You’ll be hearing from us in 2 years time for the next Safari!

Congratulations ladies. You’re rockstars!
